FEDERAL GOVERNMENT LIFTS BAN ON POST UTME, GIVES SCHOOLS THE GO AHEAD TO CONDUCT EXAMS.

The Federal Government, finally has put to an end, the ban on the conduct of POST-UTME examinations usually organized by universities for admission seekers.
Adamu Adamu who is the minister of Education made this known at Abuja. He went on to say that universities, polytechnics and other institutions were free to conduct post-UTME Screening Exercise as a necessary condition to gaining admission into public institutions.
He further explained that the Federal Government took the step of scrapping the controversial examination so as to fully understand what was going on in the institutions.
The Ban was placed on the Post-Utme Exercise last year June at a combined policy meeting on admissions to Universities, Polytechnics and other higher institutions in Nigeria, in Abuja by same Mr. Adamu Adamu.
He advised the management of the institutions to make the fees for the post-UTME screening affordable and not impose huge financial burdens on parents.
